Crown Maritime Academy, CMA had come up with the idea of and certification programme for the elites in Ubiaja, Edo State of Nigeria. For the first (1st) time in her eleven (11) years of existence in 2022, the Academy spear-headed the hosting of a major national maritime security and socio-economic awareness programme for the elites.
The programme took place in Ubiaja, headquarters of the Esan South-East Local Government Area of Edo State of Nigeria. It would be re-called that the Elites of Ubiaja Town had requested for the location of a branch of Crown Maritime Academy, CMA in the Edo State ancient town of Ubiaja, having seen and heard of the new and smooth approach to maritime education and training with quality and dignity by the management of the Academy.
Meanwhile, in order not to abuse the advantage of siting a maritime institution in the hinterland outside of her Main Campus, the Academy decided to organize the maritime domain awareness and water transportation, orientation and certification training programme for the elites of the LGA headquarters town.
Earlier, in the last quarter of 2021, the Rector of the Academy had paid Official Visit to the town for two (2) days, familiarizing himself with some elites, maritime-friendly and related facilities available.
